Who We Are

We serve the vibrant Germantown section of Philadelphia. Germantown is known for its historical significance, cultural heritage, and history of activism.

Germantown United Community Development Corporation (referred to as Germantown United CDC or GU) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Our work at Germantown United CDC is twofold.

  • To support all Germantown residents by providing access to programs and services that improve quality of life, with a focus on traditionally underserved populations and
  • To drive revitalization efforts along our commercial corridors and support small businesses.

To promote and facilitate the revitalization of Germantown and its business corridors through a sustainable, creative, and community-driven approach to economic development

VISION

Our vision for Germantown is of a community that embraces and leverages its rich diversity of residents, businesses, and institutions, all working together towards equitable development that benefits everyone.

OUR TEAM

OUR TEAM GU is a growing organization with a small but highly engaged and competent staff. As a small business, we have a staff of under five employees, with just one dedicated staff member working exclusively on providing resident services. We have plans to expand our team, so stay tuned for updates!
