The Neighborhood Advisory Subcommittee (NAS) is a resident-led process that ensures community members have a meaningful role in shaping neighborhood priorities and guiding how neighborhood-based resources are used. The NAS helps create a structure for resident participation, leadership, and accountability.
There are different ways to participate in the NAS, including serving on the Election Committee or, if nominated and voted in, serving on the NAS Committee.
The Election Committee is responsible for helping organize and oversee the election process. This includes supporting outreach to residents, helping share information about the NAS, encouraging participation, assisting with election planning, and ensuring the process is fair, transparent, and accessible to the community.
The NAS Committee is different from the Election Committee. The NAS Committee is the resident body formed through the election process. If a person is nominated and receives enough votes, they may serve on the NAS Committee. Members of the NAS Committee help represent resident voices, identify neighborhood priorities, provide community input, and support resident engagement around issues that impact the neighborhood.
In short:
The Election Committee helps manage the process of the election.
The NAS Committee is the group of elected resident representatives who serve after the election is complete.
If you are interested in being nominated for the NAS (or nominating your neighbors), please fill out this form.
We welcome residents who are committed to supporting the community and working collaboratively with others.
